Alexandre Chaligne
Alex is a dedicated individual with a profound passion for guiding others on their path of self-discovery. With over three decades of experience in soul and bodywork, he is devoted to creating and delivering exceptional programs that share his wealth of expertise.
Alex's transformative journey began with Buddhist meditations led by Sogyal Rinpoche, renowned author of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. Building upon his foundation, he expanded his knowledge through specialized training in aromatherapy and massage at the Aromatherapy Fundamental Research Laboratories. Additionally, he has pursued studies in emotional homeopathy, utilizing Bach Flower Remedies.
During the initial stages of the AIDS epidemic, Alex actively supported individuals in navigating their emotional responses. This experience fueled his exploration of meditation at the Academy of Parapsychology in Montpellier, France. Later, he relocated to Canada, where he further deepened his understanding at the Monroe Institute in Virginia, becoming a respected Hemi-Sync instructor. Alex is the visionary behind "Aromansse" and the esteemed Aromansse Riverton Retreat Centre.
Driven by enthusiasm, Alex is thrilled to offer the Life After Death program to his clients and is currently involved in developing a Hemi-Sync pre-palliative care facility. He is a master aromatherapist, accomplished meditation instructor, and skilled healing arts practitioner. His extensive training includes spiritual guidance, feng shui, tantra, and Egyptian bodywork.
Jennifer Sych
Jennifer has spent the past two decades providing direct care, support, and guidance to terminally ill persons (and their loved ones) in the final months, weeks, days, and moments of their lives. After completing a Bachelor of Nursing (BN) degree at the University of Manitoba in 2004, Jennifer spent the first 14 years of her career as a community nurse with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) Palliative Care Program.
To broaden her experience and explore a new aspect of end-of-life care, Jennifer worked with the provincial Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) team as a client care coordinator. She has since returned to her palliative care role while supporting the MAiD team casually.
Jennifer’s first trip to India in 2011 ignited a desire in her to provide more holistic end-of-life care to her patients and their families, which led her to participate in the Aromansse Dying and Living meditation retreat in 2012. That experience marked the beginning of a ten-year journey of personal and spiritual growth, including weekly meditation classes and various retreats and workshops. Jennifer has facilitated meditation groups for community palliative nurses and has co-facilitated the Dying and Living program alongside Alex since 2017.
Jennifer is deeply passionate about all aspects of end-of-life and the afterlife. Her gentle nature and vast experience are genuinely valued by those she encounters in her various roles. Jennifer strives to promote a sense of acceptance, beauty, and peace among those preparing for their transition, along with their family members and friends. She is extremely honoured to have the opportunity to support others on their individual journeys surrounding death and dying.
